Worst Things You Should Throw Away for Better Health

Well, in today’s world everyone is busy in their professional lives and taking the time to stay healthy. But some homework will break your balanced routine. In fact, this waste ward off all your fitness efforts. Therefore, you only need to throw these items out of your house so that you can follow your healthy routine without serious obstacles. Here are 9 things you need to throw away to stay healthy.

✔️Plastic containers for food and bottles

To be healthy, you must dispose of plastic food containers and plastic bottles. This reduces your exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals such as bisphenol A (BPA), bisphenol S (BPS) and phthalates. BPA, a compound used in the manufacture of polycarbonate and other plastics, is a hazardous chemical. Even the US Government’s National Toxicology Program agrees that its exposure endangers human health.

Exposure to BPA affects reproductive development in animals and increases the risk of cardiovascular diabetes and humans. These dangerous chemicals even increase the risk of breast, prostate and thyroid cancer.

Heat, along with the wear and tear during repeated washing, can increase the amount of chemicals released from containers and bottles. It is best to avoid plastic bottles and containers completely and replace them with glass bottles and containers.

✔️Soap and antibacterial preparation

If you regularly buy soap and antibacterial cleansers, it’s time to change that habit to stay healthy.

Antibacterial labels will not keep you healthy and protect you from germs and bacteria, as you might think. Even the US Food and Drug Administration recommends washing your hands with soap and water.

Antibacterial soaps and detergents are dangerous because of a chemical called Triclosan. Such personal care products also contain other hazardous chemicals such as triclocarban, 2-butoxyethanol, BPA, D-limonene, dyes, parabens, phthalates, and chlorides.

Triclosan can change hormone regulation and affect fetal development in pregnant women. Other health problems associated with triclosan include allergies, endocrine disorders, weight gain, and inflammatory reactions.

✔️Air Freshener

Air fresheners and air fresheners are filled with harmful chemicals. They usually contain phthalates, which are related to cancer and other health problems.

In most cases, this product contains a compound called 2,5-dichlorophenol (2,5-DCP). This is an endocrine disruptor which is related to the age of the previous menarche.

Instead of covering up unpleasant odours with air freshener and chemical spray, you should try to identify the cause and eliminate them.

You can also prepare homemade air freshener with baking soda and essential oils. Another possibility is to prepare a small bag or sack of dried flowers, herbs and spices.

You can also make a pan with citrus fruits and aromatic herbs to make your home feel pleasant and fresh. Simply cook ingredients such as oranges, cranberries, lemons, lemon zest, lavender, cinnamon, mint, rosemary, bay leaves and star anise in a pot full of water.

✔️Kitchen sponge

You must dispose of your kitchen sponge every two weeks to stay healthy. The kitchen sponge, where you wash dishes and clean the table regularly, can be a place for harmful bacteria and other pathogens such as viruses multiply. It is the moisture and dirt on the fungus that helps take these bad insects.

Experts say the sponge contains 10 million bacteria per square inch and can reach 200,000 times dirtier than a toilet seat.

Even the cleanest and best stored mushrooms must be removed two to four times a month. In between changes you must run your current sponge through the dishwasher to keep the germs alive.

Washing machines are a better choice than sponges for ordinary use in the kitchen. Because the washing machine is thinner, it dries faster than a sponge between its uses. This slows the growth of bacteria. However, do not forget to frequently throw it into the washing machine to ensure good cleaning.

✔️Old cookware

Although easy to clean and very popular, non-stick cookware is a popular product in your kitchen that you must dispose of.

With regular use, the Teflon coating can be degraded at the molecular level and toxic particles and gases are released. If you breathe in kitchen air contaminated with smoke from Teflon that is too hot, you and your family are at greater risk of developing flu-like symptoms.

Non-stick pans also expose PFOA, a chemical associated with tumours and developmental problems in animals. Health experts are also concerned about the potential effects on humans.

✔️Dirty contact lens case

Although contact lenses are generally safe and comfortable, improper use and handling increases the risk of multiple ocular complications, including vision loss.

When talking about contact lens use, most of us ignore the importance of using our lenses at the end of the day. The use of a dirty lens housing is one of the main risk factors for eye infections.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends that you replace the lens case at least every three months, clean it, dry it with your face, and use fresh solutions every day.

To avoid contact lens container contamination, always wash your hands with soap and water before handling contact lenses, dry the contact lens container periodically and avoid using contact lens container disinfecting solutions from various manufacturers.

Cosmetics with enriched chemicals, From shampoo to lipstick, from nail polish to sunscreen, there are many cosmetics that women and men use every day. When it comes to cosmetic products, the market is flooded with chemically enriched products, which increases opportunities to choose between bad products and good ones.

Using the wrong product means that you are exposed to toxic chemicals which include lead, beryllium, thallium, cadmium, arsenic, etc. These hazardous chemicals are contained in a variety of makeup ingredients, including foundations, powders, lipsticks, mascots, eyeliner, eye shadows, lipsticks, and lip gloss.

When buying cosmetics, choose one that has natural pigments and oils. Choose soap and shampoo without synthetic fragrances and chemicals such as triclosan, which can change the regulation of hormones in the body. Instead of using inexpensive oxybenzone sunscreens, which can cause health problems if they penetrate the skin, you should only use those made from minerals such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Be sure to check the expiration date of cosmetic products and dispose of items accordingly.

✔️Brush your teeth with good toothbrush

When using a toothbrush, the bristles brush and wipe. If you brush your teeth with a toothbrush that has wiped your bristles, your teeth will not be cleaned properly. Such toothbrushes are less effective at removing plaque and tartar that has accumulated on your teeth. Therefore, you should get rid of worn toothbrushes for optimal oral health.

According to the American Dental Association, you need to replace your toothbrush every three months if you clean twice a day as recommended. If you notice that your toothbrush is cleaned before the three-month mark, you can brush too much and damage your teeth. Always keep the toothbrush straight and dry to avoid damage. It is recommended to maintain a toothbrush so as not to prevent the growth of mold and bacteria. Before storing the toothbrush, rinse with tap water.

✔️Running shoes worn out

Running every day is good for your health but running with shoes worn is only bad for your feet. Most running shoes must be changed every 300 to 400 miles. Meaning, if you run 30 miles a week, you must change your shoes every three months.

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Sports Medicine midsoles lose their ability to absorb shocks with long-term use. This means that with each step more muscle, bone and tendon strength is transmitted, which in turn increases the risk of injury. Running with shoes like that also causes knee pain, leg pain in the morning, back pain, and a narrow box.

Even if you don’t run, change your shoes every six months or as soon as you see that the profile looks worn out. A good indicator that you need to change your shoes if you feel they are not comfortable and supportive when they are new.

Do not use Teflon-coated non-stick cookware, but iron cookware. In fact, every time you cook, using cast iron cookware will give you iron. In addition, when cooking in cast iron pots and pans, you will not be exposed to dangerous toxic fumes.
