Sushant Singh Rajput Career 

Sushant Singh Rajput (21 January 1986 – 14 June 2020) was an Indian actor. Who started his acting career in the year 2008. And ended his career at the age of 34 years, was found dead hanging from the ceiling fan in his home. 

Sushant Singh started his career with television serials. His first TV serial was ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ followed the role of ‘Preet Juneja’ in (2008) on Star Plus. He ended his television career in 2011 and started making films. 

Sushant made his film debut in the buddy drama Kai Po Che! in 2013. And won the ‘Producer Guild Film Award’ and ‘Screen Awards’ in the category of “Best Male Debut”. Then he continues making films which we will discuss in this article.

1. Kai Po Che! (2013)

Sushant Singh Rajput made his film debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s film “Kai Po Che!” and was selected to play one of the three leads roles in 2013. In Kai Po Che! Sushant Singh Rajput followed the role of ‘Ishaan Bhatt’. This film (Kai Po 

Che!) based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life.

2. Shuddh Desi Romance (2013)

His second movie was Shuddh Desi Romance. In this movie, Sushant works alongside Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor. In this film, Sushant followed the role of Raghu Ram. The Shuddh Desi Romance was directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Yash Raj Films, this film is on the subject of live-in-relationships and was shot completely in Jaipur, Rajasthan. 3. PK (2014) 

Next film of Sushant was PK directed by Rajkumar Hirani. In this film, Sushant gets the chance to work with Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma. In this film, Sushant plays the role of Sarfaraz Yousuf. PK film is one of the highest-grossing Indian Films.

3. Detective Byomesh Bakshy! (2015)

In 2015, Sushant got the chance to play the lead role in Dibakar Banerjee’s film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! Sushant 

plays the role of Byomkesh Bakshi. This was written by Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. This film was produced by two film production companies Yash Raj Films and Dibakar Banerjee Productions.

4. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)

Sushant then appeared in a Biological sports film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, and played the lead role of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This film was directed by Neeraj Pandey. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films in 2016 and by this film, Sushant gets his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

5. Raabta (2017)

In 2017 Sushant played the role of Jilaan/Shiv Kakkar in Dinesh Vijan’s film Raabta, co-starring Kriti Sanon.

6. Welcome to New York (2018)

Welcome to New York is a film by Chakri Toleti. In this film, Sushant plays the role of Himself (Sushant).

7. Kedarnath (2018)

Kedarnath is 2018 Indian Romantic Drama Disaster film directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Sushant plays the lead role as Mansoor Khan alongside Sara Ali Khan.

8. Sonchiriya (2019)

In 2019, Sushant appeared in Abhishek Chaubey’s film Sonchiraiya with Bhumi Pednekar. And plays the role of Lakhan Singh.

9. Chhichhore (2019)

Chhichhore is an Indian comedy-drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under two film producing companies Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Sushant as Aniruddh Pathak and Shraddha Kapoor as Maya Verma played the lead roles.

10. Drive (2019)

In 2019, Sushant plays the lead role in the Tarun Mansukhani’s film Drive with the actress Jacqueline Fernandez. Sushant plays the lead role of Samar. This film is released on Netflix in November 2019.

11. Dil Bechara (2020)

Dil Bechara film has not been released yet. Sushant plays the role of Manny in this film. This film’s release date has been postponed many times due to COVID-19 pandemic disease in India.
