Curriculum Vitae – CV:
Autobiography literally means “way of life”. The meaning of the word indicates that there must be a mini version of your life that is explained on several pages. In fact, this format is used if we want to describe our activities in detail. You can say that this is a kind of biography, except that it is based on job offers and that you do not repeat personal life stories that are not related to job offers.
This is generally written, and we want to say that, in contrast to the summary, this is not something that is tailored to the needs of the company but is still more or less the same.
Resumes usually use new students or recent graduates to find work. This can also be used by someone who is looking for a change of job or someone who hasn’t been in the industry for a long time. Even though this is a kind of biography, there are certain rules and restrictions that must be followed to ensure your resume meets current trends. If not, it might be difficult for your recruiter to check the details. Make sure you follow all the terms and conditions used to write your CV.
There is no limit to the length of your resume, but in total, your resume is around 3-6 pages long, but it must not mean that the span is less than 1 page. After all, your resume is a short format for your lifetime, so it’s clear that it fills a number of pages. If you then focus on the form, the resume looks simple overall and there is nothing special to use on your resume.
Usually, it is easy to make it easy for readers to understand information. However, this does not mean that it should look like a text file. You can adjust the appearance to be more attractive by keeping it simple and elegant.
CV vs Resume vs Biodata
A CV is an ideal destination for those who have years of experience and are currently looking for a new job, or for those who are looking for work in an industry where qualifications are more important than academic excellence. Resumes, unlike the other two formats, are very rich in content and are used more often because they illustrate the basic skills and experience you have, while recruiters save a lot of time to check the details. Unlike your CV, your resume contains information in a concise format. You only have to provide the skills and experience relevant to the time and job you are applying for. You don’t have to put everything in your talent warehouse.
A CV is usually when you need to describe your whole life. However, the summary says that you only show things that impress your tenants about why you are better than other applicants. In short, the summary made by the company, not the two summaries, must be an exact copy of each other if the position and job requirements are not the same.
CV or resume is the longest of all formats. Used to write about life events in detail. This is usually used by recent graduates or someone who has changed their career or academic requirements. And documents in 3 to 6 pages. It was accompanied by a letter describing the nature of the CV. Content is collected and not designed for different companies. This serves to present the overall picture of the person and does not identify the specific skills needed for the job.
Summary means summary and is the shortest of all formats. Do not exceed 1 page. Usually used in industry because it is convenient to be filled with details in a short time and to find the right candidate for the next level of qualification. Unlike a CV, it has many formats and adjusts to the posting requirements. This is used by people who already have work experience and are currently looking for other jobs.
Biodata is biographical data. This consists of personal information such as name, age, gender, date of birth and other sensitive information. At present, its use is limited to government agencies where such information is expected. Biodata makes it easy to collect data like that because it has a simple format and can be easily checked manually or by computer.
So these are the various types of formats that are currently used. Once you are familiar with these formats and know why they are used, you can make a smart decision to use the correct format when you apply for a job.
