Why don’t I get Arlo notifications on my iOS device?

To make sure you get mobile notifications:

  • Make sure your Arlo application is the latest.
  • Update the Arlo app to version 2.9 or higher to continue to receive push notifications.
  • Turn on the Arlo app notification on your iOS device.
  • For more information on how to enable push notifications, see How do I enable and disable Arlo push notifications on my iOS device?
  • Make sure you are logged into the Arlo application on your iOS device.
  • If you sign out, you will not receive a notification on your device.
  • Turn on push notifications in your camera’s mode and policy.
  • For more information on setting up notifications, see How do I set up notifications or warnings?
  • Make sure other applications on your device, such as B. Shutapp or Doze, don’t press push notifications.
  • Make sure your device is not in Do not Disturb mode.
  • If you are still having trouble getting iOS notifications, contact Arlo support to talk to an expert.

  • You do not have the latest version of the Arlo application
  • On April 11, 2019, Google changed the way your Android device sends push notifications. Update to the latest version of the Arlo application to continue to receive notifications about Arlo on your Android device.
  • To download the latest Arlo app, you can find the Arlo app on the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netgear.android.
  • Older versions of the Android operating system run on your Android device
  • If your Android operating system is older than version 4.4, you cannot receive push notifications on your Android device.
  • Visit the following Android help article to check and update your Android version: https://support.google.com/android/answer/7680439?hl=de.
  • You have not activated push notifications for the Arlo application on your Android device

  • You have not activated push notifications in your Arlo device policy

To make sure you get email notifications:

  • Make sure you confirm the email address registered in your Arlo account.
  • To confirm your e-mail address in your Arlo account, start the Arlo application or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com and select Settings> Profile.
  • Make sure you click the confirmation link in the message sent to your email address registered at alarts@arlo.com.
  • Make sure the email address on your Arlo account is correct.
  • To display your email address in your Arlo account, start the Arlo application or go to my.arlo.com and select Settings> Profile.
  • Turn on email notifications in your camera’s mode and policy.
  • For more information on setting email notifications, see How do I set up notifications or warnings?
  • Check your spam folder.
  • Sometimes your email provider marks valid email messages as spam. If you find an Arlo email message in your spam folder, we recommend adding alerts@arlo.com to your address book.
  • If you still don’t receive the email notification after this troubleshooting step, contact Arlo support to talk with an expert.
